Biography

When minds are troubled,

We can feel helpless and hopeless.

We need relief and respect,

Empathy, understanding, kindness,

A nonjudgmental treatment,

Honesty and appropriate humor.

Forty-five years of education, training, and experience have prepared me to help children, adolescents, and adults get through difficulties that beset their lives.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) serving Missouri and Illinois. I received my Masters in Counseling Psychology from Lindenwood College, St Charles, Missouri.

I have practiced psychotherapy for twenty-five years after a career in education in which I worked with middle and high school students,¬† community college, college and university students, women returning to the work force, veterans and men’s groups.

Since receiving my Masters, I completed these formal, advanced trainings in psychotherapy:

Gestalt Psychotherapy training program. (one year)

Advanced  adult and adolescent individual and family psychotherapy training program. (two years)

Child and adolescent psychodynamic psychotherapy training program. (three years)

Child and adolescent psychoanalytic training program. (seven years)
